Fall Basketball

The girls are playing fall basketball and today was Mikayla's 1st basketball game of the season.   She was playing against all boys and she scored 9 of their 12 points.  Let me tell you...Frankie and I were soo proud of that girl that it brought tears to our eyes.  It was definitely one of those "parenting" moments that I will never forget.

The gym is pretty dark, so my pictures aren't that great...but here you go!

Mikayla is at the far bottom block getting ready for the rebound.

Getting in their places on defense!
For all you OU fans, that is Barry Switzer in the middle of the picture...his grandson is on Mikayla's team.

RoughRider Run

Today at Yasmine and Mikayla's school, they had their annual fundraiser which is called the RoughRider Run.  The last two weeks, they have been going out and getting pledges from people based on how many laps they could run around the track.  Today was the big run and they had 30 minutes to see how many laps they could run/walk.  The girls did awesome...but they were sooo tired!  Yasmine made it 12 laps and Mikayla was able to get in 11 laps.  Mikayla was pretty upset when she heard she didn't get as many laps as Yasmine, however, as I am typing this, I just realized the 1st graders only had 25 minutes for their run and the 4th graders (Yasmine) had 30 minutes, so it makes sense that Yasmine had more!  Wheeew, Mikayla will be relieved.

Yasmine started off strong!

Daddy was standing on the sidelines ready to give her water!
This picture was taken after I told her she still had 25 minutes to run.  HA!
She survived the run!
Me and my little runner!  If I had planned better, I would have taken another set of clothes to work to change into so I could run with her.  There were several other parents running with the kids, so I was bummed...but NEXT year, I will be better prepared.
THIS little girl CAN RUN! I call her my little Cheetah because she is just about as fast as one.
Mikayla had to stop to ger a laps crossed off her card

Frankie got out there and ran a lap with Mikayla.  Notice I said "a" lap.

Frankie and "The Cheetah".  She survived the run!

This is Mikayla and her teacher!

WWE fanatics

Frankie has somehow managed to turn our daughters into full fledged WWE wrestling fans, so when we told them we bought tickets to Friday Night Smackdown in Oklahoma City, they were beyond ecstatic! Last night was the big night and they had soo much fun. I didn't partake in the activities and decided to stay at home for a nice quiet and relaxing evening to myself! I DVR'd the show and the girls were excited when they got home because they could see themselves on TV every once in awhile when the camera cut to the crowd. They had a SUPER FUN Night with Daddy!

OU Volleyball Game

Tonight we had some family fun going to the OU Womens Volleyball game against Texas Tech.  Since Yasmine played Volleyball last spring, she was really excited about going.  The girls LOVED IT!  Frankie even treated us to yogurt at PassionBerri after the game. FUN NIGHT!

It's Football Time!

Last night, Frankie had the TV set up outside with the BBQ grill fired up!  We had a lot of fun enjoying the nice weather, good food and exciting football!

I tried to strike a "Keeley Pose"

We saw this hamburger cake at Target and thought it would be perfect for our BBQ!
And because we are big nerds...we put candles in the cake for no apparent reason so we could blow them out!

Weekend In Kansas City

This past weekend, we made our way up to Kansas City to attend Brad and Brenda's wedding. (Brad is one of Frankie's college buddies from good ol' Ottawa University.)    On our way, we stopped in Caldwell to pick up my Mom and then headed to my sister's house on Friday night.  As soon as we got to KC, we picked up my sister and the kids and went straight to a former favorite restaurant of mine, Jose Peppers!

YUMMY!

The next morning, we only had a couple of hours to spend with my neice and nephew before Frankie and I had to get ready to leave.  We left Keeley at my Sister's house and Frankie and I booked a hotel room downtown at the Hyatt so we would be close to where the wedding reception would be taking place.
As soon as we jumped in the cab to head to the reception, I realized I left my camera sitting on the bed in the hotel room so my friend is sending me pictures from Frankie and I at the wedding.  I may or may not post them...you know I can be a slacker when it comes to blogging sometimes. :)

Here is everyone is playing with the 3-D bubbles.  If you wore the special glasses, you could see hearts inside the bubbles!

Here is my sister wearing the "special glasses" for the bubbles.  Sorry Sister...I had to put it on my blog!

Here is my Mom relaxing and reading her book!

Keeley and Cass decided to venture across the street to the garage sale.  They didn't come back with anything, but my nephew on the otherhand came back with a scooter and a new basketball!

I love my sister!

I love my niece and nephew too!  They are growing up waay to fast.

Uncle Frankie is working with Dylan on his basketball skills in the driveway

Here is the view from our hotel room.  This was right before I left for the wedding and forgot my dang camera.
