Today at Yasmine and Mikayla's school, they had their annual fundraiser which is called the RoughRider Run. The last two weeks, they have been going out and getting pledges from people based on how many laps they could run around the track. Today was the big run and they had 30 minutes to see how many laps they could run/walk. The girls did awesome...but they were sooo tired! Yasmine made it 12 laps and Mikayla was able to get in 11 laps. Mikayla was pretty upset when she heard she didn't get as many laps as Yasmine, however, as I am typing this, I just realized the 1st graders only had 25 minutes for their run and the 4th graders (Yasmine) had 30 minutes, so it makes sense that Yasmine had more! Wheeew, Mikayla will be relieved.

| Me and my little runner! If I had planned better, I would have taken another set of clothes to work to change into so I could run with her. There were several other parents running with the kids, so I was bummed...but NEXT year, I will be better prepared. |
