Basketball never stops

As if we didn't get enough basketball yesterday, we decided to take the girls to the OU women's game against Iowa State. They lost in overtime, but it was a really good game to watch!

Getting ready to support the OU girls!

Winning-Round 2

Today was another great day of basketball. Between the three girls, we played 5 games today and won all 5!

Mikayla and Keeley played in a '"seeding" tournament at the Optimist Club. This is an ALL-BOYS league in which they have allowed Frankie to sign up an ALL-GIRLS team for both Mikayla's age group and Keeley's age group. Long story short, our girls WHOOPED up on those boys.

Mikayla's team won 24-0 the first game and 15-6 the second game. Hey, at least we let them score the second game.

Keeley's team also won both games pretty easily, but I forgot to catch the final scores! Grandma, Papa and GrandDaddy also came to watch, so she was excited.

Between all of the Optimist club games, Frankie and Yasmine's Whittier 7th grade basketball team won the Championship game of the Longfellow Tournament.  We are soo proud of them!

Frankie received his very own "Winning Coach" trophy:)

Back to Blogging in 2014!

After a 2+ year hiatus...I feel that it is time I should start blogging again since it is such a great way to look back and see what fun things we have done throughout the year. Sister-thank you for motivating me to start doing it again. We shall see how long it lasts! :)

Last night, we brought in the new year with the First Annual Parks Family Tournament of Champions. Needless to say, I need to brush up on my game playing skills!  We played Pop-a-Shot, Apples to Apples, and a shooting game of HORSE. (We actually played EVE instead of HORSE, otherwise, we would have been playing all night long!)

Work in KC and suprise visit with my sister!

I came to KC for work and my flight to come back home was booked for this morning. I didn't tell my sister I was in town for the day and I decided to call her and surprise her!  When I called her, I asked her where she was.  She told me she was able to leave work early and was sitting at home. I was not happy because the whole time I was sitting in the parking lot of her work waiting to surprise her. OH well, she was still surprised that I was in town and we had a lot of fun last night!  We went to Starbucks, Oak Park Mall and we even went to a movie. We finally saw THE HELP and it was a really good movie.
