OU Volleyball Game

Tonight we had some family fun going to the OU Womens Volleyball game against Texas Tech.  Since Yasmine played Volleyball last spring, she was really excited about going.  The girls LOVED IT!  Frankie even treated us to yogurt at PassionBerri after the game. FUN NIGHT!



It's Football Time!

Last night, Frankie had the TV set up outside with the BBQ grill fired up!  We had a lot of fun enjoying the nice weather, good food and exciting football!

We saw this hamburger cake at Target and thought it would be perfect for our BBQ!

And because we are big nerds...we put candles in the cake for no apparent reason so we could blow them out!

Weekend In Kansas City

This past weekend, we made our way up to Kansas City to attend Brad and Brenda's wedding. (Brad is one of Frankie's college buddies from good ol' Ottawa University.)    On our way, we stopped in Caldwell to pick up my Mom and then headed to my sister's house on Friday night.  As soon as we got to KC, we picked up my sister and the kids and went straight to a former favorite restaurant of mine, Jose Peppers!

The next morning, we only had a couple of hours to spend with my neice and nephew before Frankie and I had to get ready to leave.  We left Keeley at my Sister's house and Frankie and I booked a hotel room downtown at the Hyatt so we would be close to where the wedding reception would be taking place. 

As soon as we jumped in the cab to head to the reception, I realized I left my camera sitting on the bed in the hotel room so my friend is sending me pictures from Frankie and I at the wedding.  I may or may not post them...you know I can be a slacker when it comes to blogging sometimes. :)

Keeley and Cass decided to venture across the street to the garage sale.  They didn't come back with anything, but my nephew on the otherhand came back with a scooter and a new basketball!

I love my niece and nephew too!  They are growing up waay to fast.

Happy 9th Birthday Yasmine!

Today we celebrated Yasmine's 9th birthday by taking three of her friends to the Salon to get their hair done and then going out for dinner so they could show off their fancy hair!  Tonight we are having a slumber party and the girls are running around doing each other's nails as we speak!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY YASMINE!

Yasmine drew this picture as the design for her cookie cake and those lovely people at the Homeland Bakery re-created it perfectly!

While all the other girls were getting their hair curly, Yasmine wanted to trade her curls for stick straight hair!

1st Day of Pre-K 3

Monday was Keeley's first day of school.  She is in the Pre-K 3 class and she LOVES it!  They have a new room (which is HUGE!) and she really likes her new teachers Ms. Finch and Ms. Jamie!  I was a little worried how she would do on her first day with a different teacher and a new room, but she did great!  She has been going to Trinity Lutheran for a while now, so she knew Ms. Finch and had seen her around the school, so I think that helped!

I have the best Sister in the world.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  I love you soo much and can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks!

BBQ GRILL

If you remember this post, you will know that our previous BBQ grill was picked up and heaved into the lot next to us after the tornado went roaring through. Well, we finally bought a new grill and I put the master chef at work! (Well at least he is the master chef around this household!)  With summer coming to an end, they also had great deals on patio sets, so we purchased a dining set for the backyard which I have been wanting to do for years!   I will post pictures after we get it all set up!
