Brrrrrrr...

Lots of ice.  Lots of snow.  That was our weekend.

After an ice/snow storm came through on Thursday, we have pretty much been house-ridden until today.  It is still cold and the roads are spotty in places, but it was nice to get out of the house...AND finally be able to get my weekend starbucks.

Can you believe this is really a color picture? It was sooo grey outside today.

My poor flower pot.

This is my water fountain...looking rather odd.  It kind of looks like a milk shake in a glass with whip cream on the top.  Why does everything remind me of food?

Weekend Happenings

We had a pretty busy weekend!  Mom and Dad got here on Friday so they could see Larry the Cable Guy's show at the Riverwind Casino.  Git-R-Done!

Yasmine and Mikayla had their first basketball games of the season on Saturday morning.  Frankie offered up to coach both of their teams, so I think our Saturday mornings for the next couple of months are going to be a little chaotic.  I don't know what we are going to do when Keeley starts playing.  The three girls are all just far apart enough in age that they will always be in seperate age groups when it comes to their teams, so I guess he will be coaching three teams next year:)  We were really proud of Yasmine and Mikayla and their hoop skills!  I remembered to bring my camera, but when I whipped it out to take pictures...the batteries were dead.  Figures.

Saturday afternoon, Mikayla had a birthday party/slumber party to go to.  It was her FIRST sleepover and she had soo much fun!  I think Yasmine and Keeley missed their sister.  It isn't very often that the three of them are seperated!

On Saturday night, Hubby and I had a date night since Mom and Dad were in town to watch the kiddos.  That is what grandparents are for, right? :)  We actually attended his boss's birthday party in which we ate dinner at SHIKI, a japanese steakhouse, and then we headed down to bricktown where we went to City Walk.  I can't remember the last time I have been to a dance club!  I think I had more fun people watching and trying to figure out if we were in fact, the oldest ones in the club.  LOL! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the girls...Frankie and I had a lof of fun!

Keeley's 1st day of school!

Keeley had her first day of school yesterday!  Frankie and I both dropped her off and after a bunch of screaming, kicking and crying...Frankie finally got me calmed down.  Ok...after a lot of screaming (Keeley) and a lot of crying (me), we made it through her first day.  You people failed to inform me how hard it is to leave your baby girl at a brand new place where she is scared to death because everywhere she looks, there isn't one familiar face.  I headed off to work and balled my eyes out off and on all morning everytime I thought about how sad she was when we left.  I think yesterday might have just been the longest day in history.   I could hardly wait to go back and pick her up.  Her teacher Ms. Claire said she cried and was pretty upset at first, but once they went outside to play, she was good to go and had a GREAT day!  She was all smiles and playing when I walked in her classroom to pick her up.

Today's drop off was still a little traumatic, but she didn't scream with fear like she did yesterday, it was more of a "sad" cry.  Ms. Claire told us she had another great day and had lots of fun painting and playing with her new friend Keira!

So far, so good!  We will keep you posted!

Last Day at La Petite Academy

Today was Keeley's last day at La Petite daycare.  We were all a little sad and teary-eyed because Keeley has been at this daycare since she was 12 weeks old!  She had a lot of great teachers whom we will miss dearly!  On Tuesday, she will be starting a childcare program at a new school.  It is right across the street from my office, so I can look out the window and possibly even see her playing on the playground!  Here are a few pictures we took today.  In this first one, you can tell she is a little upset because I made her give up the cookies that we brought for the class.  This was Keeley's infant room teacher Kristi, who was with her from the very beginning.  She loooved Kristi!  If I ever dropped Keeley off at daycare and she was crying, I knew all she needed to do was see Kristi and everything would be ok!

Kristi made Keeley this adorable blanket and also gave her a cute little heart knick-knack with her picture on it so she can put it in her bedroom.  When we got home today, Keeley went and hid her blanket in the closet.  I asked her why she put it there and she said " I have to hide it so Sissy's won't get it".  Oh lord.  I forsee many sibling fights in the future over that soft, warm, cuddly blanket!  Heck...I might even take it!

Here are three of Keeley's teachers that she loved...Libby Lu, Mandy and KiKi.

Giving KiKi a BIG hug!

Last but not least...her buddy Cameron wanted to give her a big hug before she left. How CUTE!

Our New Camera!

Soooo...I have been shopping around for a digital camera for awhile now and finally purchased one today on my lunch hour.  Last week, I thought I killed my old camera after dropping it on the floor for the 200th time.  The lens was jammed, therefore, I couldn't take any pictures.  After Frankie worked his magic, he somehow revived the poor thing.  He did not understand why I needed a new camera when our current one worked just fine, but I explained to him that our camera was really outdated compared to the new technology and we really needed one that was 12 megapixels or more. Don't get me wrong, our sony cybershot was a topnotch camera...back in 2000! It is 2010 people! A new camera for the new decade! Below is a picture taken with my old camera. The second picture was taken with my new camera.   I can definitely tell the quality is better with my new camera, but Frankie isn't so convinced.  I will still keep that Sony cybershot and remeber all the memories it captured throughout the years.  It had a good run!

Dancin' Queens

The holidays are over and we are trying to get back in our normal day to day routine. School (for the girls), Work (for Mommy and Daddy), come home-eat dinner, do homework, play, play and play some more! Here is a short video of the girls doing their favorite dance tonight :)
