Summer is here!

Yesterday was the last day of childcare/school before they start their summer session.  They set up a mini-carnival for the kids yesterday morning with a moon bounce and lots of fun activites.  Keeley indulged in a sno-kone, cotton candy and popcorn. All before 10AM. Does that make me a bad Mom?  If you said yes, Keeley would beg to differ!  They had all sorts of fun activites and ended the morning with a nice picnic lunch for all the kiddos and parents.  Below are some pictures from our fun morning.

Wacky Weather

About a week and a half ago, we had a tornado come through our neck of the woods.  Luckily, we didn't have any major damage except that it took our fence and sent it flying through the air. We also had some minor roof damage.  Unfortunately, just right across the highway from where we live, it did some significant damage as you will see in the pictures below.

This side of the fence actually got the good end of the deal and had the least amount of damage!

This side of the fence was taken out.  Part of the fence is laying on the ground...

...and the other part ended up here. Across the street.

Awww, can you see our poor BBQ grill in the empty lot?  If you read my last post, you will remember we had some birds living in that grill.  Sad. Sad. Situation.

I took this picture coming out of our addition.  The other side of the highway got hit pretty hard.

A Re-cap of April

I neglected this poor blog in the month of April and had all sorts of pictures that I took, but never posted, so here is a re-cap of the month in April using pictures:

Dad and Keeley on Easter weekend

Two of my best friends from college, Petey(Sara) and Cicely, came to Oklahoma City in April to run in the Memorial Marathon.  Wish I had the drive to run a marathon.  I get tired walking from the couch to the fridge.

Yasmine had her 1st Volleyball game!

Frankie opened our BBQ grill to clean it out and realized a bird decided to make a nest which housed five little eggs.  A couple of weeks later, this is what it produced.  I was surprised to see their heads are just a big beak when they are born.

April brought beautiful weather so we enjoyed taking family walks around the neighborhood and to the waterfall at the front entrance of our addition.  We always seem to hold a full-fledged family photoshoot when we are there.  (BIG NERDS)  Unfortuanately, they turned out a little blurry:

I should have a lot more posts in May!

A Thunder game and a Homemade Pizza!

Tonight we are getting ready to cheer on the Oklahoma City Thunder while they try to beat the Lakers in game six of their playoff series.  Frankie is cheering for the Lakers while the girls of the house are rooting for Durant and Co.

In preparation of the big game, the girls made a homemade pizza.  We even made the crust from scratch.  Yeah right, but I had you going there for a second, right?

The Pioneer Woman

This afternoon, Mom, Keeley and I all packed in the car and drove to Stillwater, OK to see The Pioneer Woman and attend her book signing at the Hastings Book Store!  If you don't read her blog...you really should!  Check it out here.
Despite waiting in line for over 2 1/2 hours with a three year old...we had fun!  Keeley was actually very well behaved considering what I was putting her through.  To my amazement, she did not have one single fit or crying spell throughout that whole time we waited.  She was extremely bored, but between the games on my cell phone and the bull riding that was on the TV in the Hasting's Cafe, it kept her entertained.

A fun weekend and a Happy Easter!

This past weekend, my parents came down to keep us company while Frankie was on his "annual" guys trip to Florida/Bahamas.  I know, can you believe I let him go without me???  He owes me a really nice vacay sometime soon!  After talking to Frankie, I don't think I really have anything to be jealous of because they have had all sorts of little fiasco's on their trip.  I will post more about that later:)

Here are some pictures from our fun weekend with my parents.   I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Lakers vs. Thunder

I am only a week late posting this:)  Last Friday, Frankie and I had a date night.  For Christmas, my parents bought Frankie tickets to the Los Angeles Lakers game vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder.  Frankie is a huge Lakers fan so he was super excited for Kobe and the boys to come to town.  Too bad the Lakers played their worst game in franchise history.  We still had fun though and enjoyed our date night!
